About Justin Field, MD
Justin Field, MD, is an assistant clinical professor of medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology at the University of California, San Francisco. He specializes in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), with a clinical and research focus on anal cancer prevention among people living with IBD, and on the needs of LGBTQ+ patients with IBD. Dr. Field is the founder of the UCSF Rainbow IBD Clinic, a program dedicated to providing inclusive, tailored care for LGBTQ+ individuals with IBD, as well as anal cancer screening and prevention.
Dr. Field’s research focuses on improving outcomes in IBD through better risk stratification and early detection of malignancy, particularly anal neoplasia in patients with perianal Crohn’s disease.
Dr. Field completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and an advanced inflammatory bowel disease fellowship at UCSF.
